The musician, singer songwriter and producer Hilly Michaels has passed away at the age of 77. Known for playing drums in Sparks, he began a solo career in the 80’s. In 1985 he had a troubled co-dependent relationship with Marianne just before she entered recovery. They began an album together that year produced with Mike Thorne which never came out. Marianne later recalled “It did have one great song on it that I’d written with Hilly called ‘Park Avenue’. Hilly was a good songwriter, I’ll give him that.”
